Stand alone contract, why?
Media needs the security of a contract to use content that is not registered with a rights organization. Artists that choose to provide content at no costs to media/user need to be able to identify that their media is able to be used under these conditions. The conditons could be online and if the artist wanted to join a rights organization, a stand alone symbol might be removed from the artists web space. If an artist gave a cd to media, the artists could refer the user of content to a website to further conditions for use.
